Standing on the edge
Looking without fear
Wondering how it came to this
I shed a little tear
My toes grip the rooftop
And I hear the blaring cars
The wind blows cold on me
As I try to hide the scars
I can smell the stench
Of broken trust and lies
But in the end
You’re the one that cries

I thought of all the ways
To end it quick and fast
I think of all the ways
I’ve tried it in the past
I tried slit wrists
But that only gave more pain
I even tried hanging
But only got the same
Drowning was a failure
My throat was just left coarse
Now there is just one left
This is my remorse

You hurt me so much
Yet I still love you
I’m so sorry dear
But it’s something I must do
It’s filling me inside
I’m almost full of sorrow
I want to say goodbye to you
As I wont be here tomorrow

This was my suicide note
I left it to my darling
And to think this was the only thing
That ever stopped me falling
Want to know how it ended
I’ll tell you when I die
For now I’m happy sitting here
Staring at the sky
I now live with my love
We’ve been together quite a while
Now we have a little girl
She is my little child
And we are very happy
That’s how we’re going to stay
Cause I didn’t end it all
On that fateful day
